Here's the kind of attachment we settled on. The button is sewn on, and the tiny circuit board is glued to that. The paper clip is just there to hold it until the glue sets. You might wonder if the wires would break, and indeed they did; at the end of the first weekend 21 lights were out. Still that leaves 90 on, so it was pretty bright. I took home the jacket and was able to repair 18 lights, so it started the second weekend almost as good as new.
