70 - Remaining Kayak
I don't recall the context, but I rather like the picture. On the way down, I sat in the seat, and Evan perched on the bow. Experience showed that, in good stretches, we could both paddle as long as we were synchronized. Too much paddling destabilized the kayak, however. In windy or turbulent stretches, Evan provided a motor forward and I guided the boat, sometimes with paddling, but often by backpaddling, which slowed us down but at least kept us pointing the right way.

Below Dogleg rapid
This shot was taken just below Dog Leg rapid. I had just run it and it was superb. Dog Leg requires navigating through some hazardous rocks, after which there are about a dozen good sized standing waves. In the photo I am preparing to help carry the boat back upstream so Alan could run the rapid.
