I have the waterproof picture scans now, so I can tell the story that happened between pictures 20 and 21.

It all began simply enough. Evan and I put in at Bergheim Camp (see map). We were going down eight miles to Guadalupe River State Park, where Yvonne would pick us up. The current was strong, and we expected it to take two or three hours. Our early progress was very good.
