011 - 09/12 - Two Little Indians
The world of computer programming also has big and little indians, only we spell it endian. Little endian CPUs prefer to reference integers from least to most significant byte, and big endian CPUs prefer most to least significant byte. Intel CPUs are typically little endian, Motorola CPUs are typically big endian. I learned assembly language in a big endian world, and even after years of programming DOS/Windows machines, Intel byte orders still annoy me. I guess we all have our troubles.
