It came about thus:

Chatting after church, Greg happened to mention some surgery he once had up in his nasal passages, and how the doctor had a camera that could be inserted and show what was happening up there. I said something like "Shoot, mine can do pretty good", and took this picture. And it looked pretty funny when I previewed it on the camera. But later, seeing it in all its glory on the computer screen... wow... there just aren't words.

(Suddenly I recall a joke they ran once on Prairie Home Companion. Or actually, I don't recall the joke, only that it involved snot in some way, and after it was told one of the actors indignantly said "Some people think that kind of thing is funny -- but it'snot to me.")
